What is Counselling?
A counselling session at Prairie Therapy is first an exhale; a warm cup of tea, a comfortable chair and an empathetic listening ear. Life has many challenges surrounding things like relationships, parenting, mental health, trauma, illness, and work stress that bring up a lot of wanted or unwanted thoughts and feelings. We want you to know that we are here and you are not alone. Our counsellors Alisha and Alexandra are mental health professionals who can support you to lean into this discomfort, make sense of life’s challenges and show up for yourself in the way you want and deserve.
Benefits of Counselling
In the first session you can expect to complete some paperwork, explore what brought you in, get to know your counsellor and their therapy style, and where fitting, create goals for your wellness journey. It takes courage to ask for what you need but your bravery and investment in your mental health will be worth it every time.
