What is massage therapy?
Massage therapy is an umbrella term for any hands-on technique used with the intent to therapeutically affect the soft tissues and joints of the body. It can be used to make purposeful changes to soft tissue in order to change function, or it can be used simply to relieve stress and improve well-being.
Massage therapists are highly educated professionals with advanced training in anatomy, physiology, pathology, and orthopedic assessment and treatment. At minimum they are required to spend 2200 hours actively refining their skills to be certified.

At Prairie Therapy, we want to find the best person to help you, no matter who that person is. Our massage therapists have a diverse skill set so whatever you need, there will be a therapist for you!
Our massage therapists work closely with other professions at Prairie Therapy. For things like recovering from a motor vehicle accident (MVA), massage therapy in combination with other rehabilitation treatments like physiotherapy and osteopathy results in a faster recovery.
Finally, many of our massage therapists are also practitioners in other healing disciplines such as Traditional Chinese Medicine.
