Naturopathic Medicine
What is Naturopathic Medicine?
Naturopathic Medicine is an evidence-based health care system that views the body as an interconnected whole. If we think of different symptoms or areas of health as pieces of a puzzle; Naturopathic Medicine treats the overall picture formed when those puzzle pieces are put together, instead of treating each puzzle piece separately.
The focus of Naturopathic Medicine is to heal the body and return it to a state of balance by addressing the underlying cause(s) of your health concerns. Through your health history, physical exams, and laboratory testing the underlying cause(s) of your health concerns will be discovered and treated.
Naturopathic Medicine treats common health problems including: digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, autoimmune disease, allergies, cardiovascular disease, stress, fatigue, anxiety, depression, insomnia, diabetes, chronic pain, skin conditions, headaches, asthma, infections, injuries, and more.
Treatments are evidence-based, centred on healing the body, and have less side effects than conventional treatments. Treatments include a combination of supplements, lifestyle changes, nutritional advice, herbs, acupuncture, and homeopathy.
